Finland, with Lily-Sofie Latvala, leads in the XV International Helsinki Downtown Regatta
The final series of the XV International Helsinki Downtown Regatta started in challenging conditions. Rain and winds up to 12 m/s tested the skills of the 132 young optimist sailors participating in the regatta.
After a sunny morning a cold front passed Helsinki bringing 10-12 m/s and heavy rain. Three races were completed on schedule. After nine races Lily-Sofie Latvala (FIN 1141) leads with Rokas Rimsa (LTU 59) in second place and Sisu Seliö (FIN 1180) third. The race is tight and we’re looking forward to an exciting final day.
