The restaurant on Liuskasaari returns to its roots  –  the renewed HSS Paviljonki will open on April 24th!

HSS takes helm of the restaurant HSS Paviljonki with seasoned restaurant experts after collaboration ended with the previous restaurateur.

The restaurant in the HSS’s club building is now part of the yacht club activities. The club will establish a limited company for the restaurant, and the practical running of the restaurant will be helmed by Nina Koiranen and Kari Koponen who both have long-time membership experience in HSS, and Nina has previously worked as Restaurant Manager on the island. They also run the restaurants at Ruissalon Telakka (Åbo Båtvarf) and bring their strong experience to HSS’s restaurant endeavor.

Paviljonki aka the Pavilion is first and foremost HSS’s own home base, and the business model will represent that – the more we spend time in our restaurant, the more our club and we benefit. The terrace will always be open to club members even if there is a private function in the restaurant, and the day’s Seglare special and other member discounts will be served.

The menu will lean heavily on traditional Scandinavian food culture and its best produce. Fish and seafood will be accompanied with fresh delights of the season, not to forget meat and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant has been influenced by classic restaurants in the Stockholm archipelago. The price range will be affordable: the kitchen serves easy classics in addition to à la carte options.
