September courses are available at Holvi!

The course is open to all (minimum age requirement 15 years.) For people with little or no previous sailing experience. This course is held using our RS Toura that are sailed with a crew of 3-4 persons. During the two days, we will focus on both sailing theory indoors and sailing basics on land in a simulator and on water as existing weather conditions allow. 

After the course, you have learned the basics of sailing and rigging of the boat. If you choose to join the Sailing Center you will then be ready to take part in our coached beginner training. In the weekly training, we repeat the things learned on the beginner’s course and continue working with boat handling and sailing skills. In the training, you will also learn about boat maintenance and other useful seamanship skills not to forget the basics of fleet racing. 

After you are ready to sail the boat confidently and independently, you can apply for RS Toura skipper rights and go out sailing on your own anytime you want.

This course requires no prerequisites. 

Course Language is English.
