HSS Laser team sailing in Laser Europa Cup, Ancona
HSS Laser team had a good training and competing week in Ancona, Italy in the first week of April. We had an awesome group of 6 sailors and a great coach. We spent the beginning of the week training and getting used to the venue. We trained also with other teams to get in touch with starting and racing.
The Laser Eurocup competition begun on Saturday. After two hours of waiting we managed to get one start, but it was cancelled due to too stong wind. The next day we didn’t get any starts because the wind was too light. Gladly, the last two days had better conditions for sailing and we were able to get 4 races in total. The week in Ancona was a great start before the trainings will begin here back in Finlad.
In 4.7 class Aku Koivistoinen finished as best finnish sailor (21./106) and in Radial class Joakim Svinhufvud (12./109).
