Berths and Dock Map

There is always room for new boat neighbours!

If you’re looking for a boat berth in good company and an unbeatable location, you’ve come to the right place. The easy accessibility of Liuskasaari, its stunning cliffs and the sea view stretching to the horizon bring the archipelago and holiday atmosphere close to the hustle and bustle of the city. Even when your boat is at the dock, you can still enjoy the pleasure of the marina. Even a short ferry trip to the island is a great way to get away from the pressures of everyday life. Many islanders come to work remotely from their boats.

“The island views, the happy sounds of enthusiasts and the relaxed atmosphere of the island made us choose HSS as our marina.”

Berths

HSS has about 250 berth spots on seven piers. There are around 230 buoy berths up to a width of five metres and 12 aisle berths on 10 metre long walkways, plus seven side berths.

You can apply for a boat place even if you are not yet a member of the club, and you can join the club once a place has been confirmed. The reservation of a berth will automatically continue from one sailing season to the next unless the member has given written notice by 1st March to give up the berth.

To use the HSS flag, the boat must be registered with the club and undergo an annual inspection. The boat may be registered with another club and sail under another club’s flag, even if the boat has a berth with the HSS. Or vice versa.

Winter storage space is applied for separately and is not automatically included in the summer berth. Read more about winter storage here.

During the summer season, a free ferry runs between Liuskasaari and the mainland from early morning until late at night, and the work ferry and Buster are available to members for their own maintenance and for moving large or heavy items. Inspections and maintenance tips from our experienced surveyors and staff are also included in the price of the berth. Staff can usually be found in the HSS office or on the ferry and are identified by their blue staff uniforms. Members also have access to the marinas Andö in Inkoo and Getören in Porvoo.

Responsibilities of the boat owner

The holder of the berth undertakes to comply with the rules and instructions of the port. The rules state, among other things, that the berth may not be transferred without the permission of the club, that the boat must be insured and inspected, and that the club may ask the berth holder to move the boat. The transfer of the boat may take place, for example, in connection with major regattas or when maintenance work is being carried out. The harbour will endeavour to minimise the need to move the boat and, where possible, will be notified at the beginning of the season.
