HSS 132 Years Champagne Regatta – Baltic Classic Masters

We are proud to announce the 15th Champagne Regatta featuring Taittinger Champagne as our title sponsor. The Taittinger brand, combined with sail racing, starting just outside HSS Liuskasaari, will provide you with an unique regatta experience.

HSS welcomes all sailors and yacht clubs to our main sailing event August 23rd-24th, 2025. We expect a happy reunion of Finnish and Swedish sailors at the event.

The sailing will be followed by the traditional Champagne Dinner and Party at the HSS Pavilion Restaurant on the 23rd. Concurrently, we will feature the West Shed 5 Metre and Friends BYOB Party. Please check out the full social program below. As part of the regatta, the Hai-class will sail their Open Nationals from August 22nd-24th.

NB: the Champagne Dinner and Party is sold out as of 12th August. Tickets still available to the West Shed 5 Metre and Friends BYOB Party! Welcome!

This year, we aim to surpass our previous record with 106 registered boats. The regatta is open to all boats in the classes: int5m, 5.5m, 6mR, 8mR, Dragon, Star, and Hai, who will race on a windward-leeward course. The archipelago race is for classes: All Skerry Cruisers, A-boat, H-boat, Folkboat, S&S & Swan, Baltic Classic Masters Boats. The Baltic Classic Masters class is open to all boats built before 1974. The Champagne Regatta is one of three regattas in the Baltic Classic Masters series, consisting of the Sandhamn Classic, and the Airisto Classic.

HSS particularly addresses the regatta invitation to classes that have either been conceived or strongly endorsed by the club throughout its history: the SK 22, Hai, 5.5, and H-Boat classes.

Participating boats will berth at the HSS marina.

There will be a maximum of three and a minimum of two races per day. The warning signal for the first start for the Hai-class will be at 12:55 pm on Friday, the 22nd, and at 10:55 am for all classes on Saturday and Sunday. Please check out the Notice of Race below.
