XVI Helsinki Downtown Sailing Week Comes to a Close
After a week of training clinics and racing the 2024 Helsinki Downtown Sailing Week comes to a close. Over 180 sailors from10 countries participated in events held on the unique Liuskasaari island at the southern tip of Helsinki.
On final day of the regatta difficult conditions prevented racing. In the Optimist class Finlands Niko Noponen (FIN 1221) takes the overall championship with Estonian Robert Matt (EST 374) finishing in second place and Murray Duthie (AUS 1516) in third. Full results behind the link.
The HSS organising committee wants to thank the international jury, all volunteers, coaches and the amazing young sailors for making this event a success.
