The HSS 131 Years Champagne Regatta – Baltic Classic Masters August 24rd – 25th, 2024. We are proud to announce that the 14th Champagne Regatta features Taittinger Champagne as our title sponsor. The Taittinger brand combined with the regatta experience on Liuskasaari brings us one step further towards on the road to develop a unique Regatta experience. HSS welcomes all sailors and yacht clubs to our main sail racing event in 2024.

As a part of the regatta the 5.5. metre class will sail their Open Nationals on August 23rd-25th.

This year, we aim to surpass last year’s record with 93 boats registered boats. The Dragon class is joining with a significant fleet, and we also hope to achieve record attendance in several other classes, particularly Hais, H-boats, 5 metres, and Offshore classics.

The sailing will be followed by the traditional Champagne Dinner and Party at the renewed HSS Pavilion Restaurant. In parallel we will feature the West Shed Party hosted by the 5 metre class. The full social program will be announced shortly.

The regatta is open to all boats in the classes: 5m, 5.5m, 6mR, 8mR, Dragon, Star, and Hai. These classes will sail on a windward-leeward course south of Liuskasaari. The archipelago race is for classes: All Skerry Cruisers, A-boat, H-boat, Folkboat, S&S & Swan, Baltic Classic Masters Boats. The Baltic Classic Masters class is open to all boats built before 1974.

The Champagne Regatta is one of three regattas in the Baltic Classic Masters series, consisting of the Sandhamn Classic, Airisto Classic, and The Champagne Regatta.

HSS particularly addresses the regatta invitation to the classes that have either been conceived or strongly endorsed by the club throughout its history: The SK 22, Hai, 5.5, and H-boat classes.

Participating boats will berth at the HSS marina.

There will be a maximum of three and a minimum of two races per day. The warning signal for the first start will be at 12:55 pm on Friday, the 23rd, and at 10:55 a.m. on all other days.
